Why BIBLICAL Counseling?

There has always been a desire to help other brothers and sisters in Christ, so when a sister in our church suggested to us that we might consider counseling others, we prayed to God for wisdom and he placed us on this path. 

We enrolled in a training to become certified through the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors, which is a rigorous 3-4 year curriculum that is preparing us to counsel using God's Word.

There are many trials we face in life, some very difficult... but The Bible has the answer for every one of them. All are addressed either directly or indirectly in The Bible. God created us, and He knows us better than anyone. So it would only make sense that He is the best equipped to help us through the trials we face.

Going through this training has given us the opportunity to study God's Word deeply, and to learn the skills to teach it to others. It has also given us a chance to take stock of our own lives, and our marriage as a couple, which enables us to have compassion and empathy to fellow sinners.

At the present time, we are about halfway through our training, and we are grateful that God has sustained us to this point. We have the loving support of our  Pastors, Elders and fellow church members, and we look ahead to the challenges we will face as we continue to serve the Lord in a way that glorifies Him.

Please pray for us as we move forward one day at a time, and that God would see us through to the finish.
